About Us

A Family run business that was originally established over 42 years ago in a 250 year old harbourside building in Hotwells. Over the years we have extended through the building to accommodate the growth of the business and we are now one of Bristols landmark shops. Stocking an impressive range of camping equipment and accessories from some of the industries most familiar names such as Vango, Coleman, Gelert, Trespass, Icepeak and many more. We are known for offering great products without always paying for a ‘designer’ label.

We have become renowned throughout Bristol for our great choice at competitive prices with exceptional customer service.

More recently in 2006 we took the opportunity to expand to a second location at Jarretts Garden Centre where we can boast Bristol’s largest outdoor tent display with normally 45 tents on display throughout the summer (mid March to early October). Most of this display comprises the larger family tents although we do keep space for a selection of smaller backpacking/festival tents. This new site also has a large shop where we are able to stock a huge choice of sleeping bags, cookers and camp kitchens, furniture, camping accessories and clothing.

Starting May 2010 we are going to be running our free pitch perfect tent demonstration on Saturdays and Sundays where we will demonstrate to our customers the easy ways to erect and pitch tents.

Store Opening Times are Marcruss Stores Hotwells Monday-Saturday 9am-5.30pm and Sundays 11am-4pm. Bristol Camping Bitton Monday-Saturday 9.30am-5pm and Sundays 10am-4pm.
